ITINERARY

Day 1 - ARRIVAL TO ROVANIEMI

Welcome to Finland – the Land of a thousand lakes.

Arrival to Rovaniemi, the capital of the Finnish Lapland. Lapland is as close as reality gets to those who dream of a winter wonderland. Contrasts are a key factor in the allure of Lapland where 24-hour sunlight in the summer replaces the dark winter days. The hustle and bustle of towns and ski resorts is just minutes away from the peace and quiet of the wild wilderness.

Find your way to a hotel (possible to book a transfer: 30 EUR pp)

Day2 - SANTA’S VILLAGE & THE REINDEER SLED RIDE

Breakfast in the hotel.

Start the day with immediately immersing you into the magic of Lapland. First stop today is the Santa Claus Village located on the Arctic Circle. You will participate in the traditional ceremony of crossing the Arctic Circle and receive a diploma certifying your visit.

After the ceremony, free time for you to explore the village and meet the local star, the Santa Clause, in his official home. Free time for lunch

You can also go to Santa's post office to send a letter to yourself or a loved one, with the official stamp of Santa. Wander around the various souvenir shops and enjoy the magic atmosphere in the village.

In the end of the day you will experience a reindeer sled at the Santa Claus Village and enjoy a hot drink around the fire.

Transfer back to your hotel.

Day 3 - HUSKIES & THE POLAR ZOO OF RANUA (160 Km)

Our first stop today is a Husky Farm, where you will learn all you need to know about huskies and their way of living. After the introduction and a short show, take the opportunity to get a ride on a mini safari (3 km) with a musher. After the ride you will have some time to meet and photograph these beautiful dogs and ask all the questions you may have regarding this business & sport.

Free time for lunch

Our next visit is to the northernmost zoo in the world – Ranua. Your guide will take you on a brisk walk outdoors to admire the Arctic wildlife in their genuine wilderness setting. Elk, reindeer, wolverines, arctic fox and of course the impressive polar bear can be found in this ZOO.

Little free time for food lovers to discover the shop of the famous Finnish Fazer chocolates.

Return to your hotel.
